Our route

So, South East Asia... how to tackle it!
Our first port of call will be India. It's a country both of us really want to see, the sights, the culture, the food, the weather, the people. We've heard so many great things about it, seeing India was high on our list.
Our planned route for India goes a little something like this:
DELHI - RAJASTHAN - MUMBAI - GOA - KERALA - MUMBAI
We've already booked our accomodation for Christmas, a beach hut in Goa - can't wait!
From India, our next stop will be Bangkok in Thailand. Thailand is another country that we are both eager to explore. From the Full Moon Parties on Ko Phangan, to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, this country has a lot to offer.
Our semi-planned route is:
BANGKOK - KO SAMUI - KO PHANGAN - PHI PHI ISLAND / PHUKET - CHANG MAI
We should be on Ko Phangan for New Years Eve, and also the Full Moon Party in early Jan.
From Thailand, the plan is to travel the Great IndoChina Loop. This means leaving the North of Thailand, and making our way into Laos, it's next door neighbour, then onto Vietnam and Cambodia.
We're more or less going into this part of our trip blind. These countries are so undeveloped it's hard to plan an itinery, it's hard to know what you want to see. I'm relying on the advice from other travellers, and also a trust Lonely Planet to get us through these countries. To be honest, I'm sure half the fun of it is not to have a plan, and just go wherever your instincts take you :o)
We aim to be away for six months exactly, leaving on the 15th of November. The flights are booked, my arms are hurting from injections, our empty backpacks are ready to be filled. All that's left to do is finalise the a few last small things, then wait for the day we depart on British Airways flight from Heathrow to Delhi, hearts in mouths, hoping for the best!!
